Australian actor and Global Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR, Cate Blanchett, has introduced a free tool to help arm us humans in the battle against unregulated A.I. appropriation of our likenesses. Called the Human Consent Registry, and launched by RSL Media, a non profit co-founded by Blanchett, the tool seeks to provide a public mechanism to prohibit, allow, or set conditions, on the usage of our likeness, voice, and movement.

RSL Media, together with Member of the European Parliament, Eva Maydell, announce today the launch of the Human Consent Registry, a free public utility tool built around a simple human principle: your identity is your intellectual property, and every person should have a clear way to say what is, and is not, allowed to be used by AI systems.
We here at Made by Humans celebrate the endless individuality and creativity of people, it is the heart of our mission. We are deeply troubled by the ease with which A.I. companies have stollen nearly all digitally available creative works in order to train their models and to sell us their imitations. This topic of consent and ownership of likeness has horrific consequences for all levels of society, school children and public figures alike.
